On April 17, 2016, iCenter Tsinghua and Visionworks of Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd. (COMAC) successfully held the workshopⅠ: Future Aircraft Design-2025. It highlighted passenger experience from boarding to leaving, aiming to produce conceptual design and model of cabin.

Mr. Zhang Chi and Yang Daqing, senior engineers of Visionworks and Fu Zhiyong Professor from Academy Art & Design, Tsinghua University gave lectures about design thinking used in the current aircraft design and manufacturing procedures and helped participants achieve the goals of the workshop.

We had our participants from Tsinghua University, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Minzu University of China, Ameco and other companies.

Our staff used the improved Design Thinking tools to assist them in doing surveys to dig out the true passenger experience speedily. After that, they were divided into three groups accordingly: environment, entertainment and seat. Working with our teachers, they spent only half a day in accomplishing the task.
